New Years Eve in Malongo!

Being out here at Christmas time was never going to be easy but we did our very our best to not let that get in the way of having a good time. New Years eve epitomized the team spirit we have here in Malongo and our party was the pinnacle of a fantastic years work which really topped off a brilliant festive period for everyone. 

We transformed our Maintenance area into a makeshift party zone for New Year, with all the staff chipping in to decorate and assist with the preparations! Then, on completion of the New years Eve Dinner the party well and truly got started! 

I hope you all enjoy the photos, it was extremely satisfying to see Angolans and Ex Pats all enjoying the evening as one team and this really was one of the best nights we have had in Angola.

New Years Eve Dinner

Here are the pictures from our New Years Eve dinner! Needless to say that we had a party afterwards (I think this will have to become standard practice now)!

As with the Christmas meal, this dinner was a huge team effort and special thanks goes out to Ronie for making the BBQ's, Cheg and the warehouse team for all our last minute requests, Gabriella and Samuel for helping with the decorations and of course to all my staff who were fabulous yet again. And of course to Eric who ensured that the hangover was well in place this morning!

Our main choice for the dinner was of course the Hog Roast. These were marinaded then cooked slowly before being finished off on the BBQ's. This was the first time I had cooked these on this scale so I was really pleased it went so well. A great eye catching choice which went down great with our customers.
